Yakitoko

Are you looking to update your t-shirt rotation? Then come check out Yakitoko’s booth this week at the market!

Yakitoko is a clothing brand started in 2011 by Frange Abaraka while he was attending the University of Maryland. Yakitoko means “Something Beautiful” in Lingala, a dialect from Central Africa. Frange started his design work on the crowd sourced site Threadless. There he honed his skills, received valuable feedback from other users, and soon decided it was time to share his talent with the world.

And we’re glad he’s sharing his ideas with us in Silver Spring. Come meet Frange and try on some of his designs this Saturday!
