Laughing Glass Studio

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

Two artists, best friends, got together one night and decided that they nee ded to do something with the art they’d been creating in glass. “What to call it?” they asked themselves …  Pain in the Glass? Snake in the Glass?

Everything just seemed to make them laugh, so they decided that was the best name for their venture: Laughing Glass Studio.

Laughing Glass Studios is located in Silver Spring. Find them in Booth #75 at the Fenton Street Market THIS Saturday!

S.H. Jemik Paper Collectibles

Wednesday, October 20th, 2010

I must admit that I geeked out a bit when I saw an application from local music historian and independent filmmaker, Jeff Krulik, in my inbox. Visions of a marquee with “NOW SHOWING: FENTON STREET MARKET PARKING LOT” across it danced through my head…I mean, our old home was a parking lot! But then I honestly geeked out even more after reading the application and discovering that the vendor would be Jeff’s father, Steve, who is a full-time ephemera and paper collectible dealer! We have been looking for ephemera dealers all season, and Steve’s collection looks amazing! What is ephemera, you might ask? Watch the video below, and be sure to visit S.H. Jemik Paper Collectibles’ booth at the market on October 23 and October 30!
